Cedar Bundle

How to use

• Store sprigs or chips in a dry, airy container away from direct sun
• Light the tip and let it smoulder rather than burn with an open flame
• Rest it on a fireproof dish, since cedar's resin can spark and pop while burning
• Keep smoke away from pets, especially cats, who are sensitive to some conifer oils

Safety
Cedar smoke is aromatic and resinous, so burn small amounts over a fireproof surface with ventilation. Keep oils away from pets, especially cats.

Where it comes from

Cedar carries protection in its very grain. Scott Cunningham writes that its smoke is purifying and cures the tendency toward bad dreams, that cedar hung in the home protects against lightning, and that a piece kept in the wallet or purse draws money. It is a tree of thresholds, guarding the line between what may enter and what must stay out.
