Fluorite Worry Stone

Fluorite forms in veins and cavities where warm, mineral rich fluids move through limestone and granite, often alongside quartz, calcite, and metallic ores. As those fluids cool, calcium and fluorine lock into perfect cubes and octahedrons, and trace elements and natural radiation paint the ribbons of purple, green, blue, and yellow that make each piece its own. It was named by the German scholar Georgius Agricola in 1530 from the Latin fluere, to flow, because miners used it to help metal ores melt and flow during smelting.
