The next full moon is the Hunter's Moon on Sunday, October 25, 2026, rising in Taurus. It opens a stretch of three supermoons in a row, in November, December and January. Below is every full moon through October 2027 with its date, name, sign and what it tends to ask of you. We update this page each month.
Times are Pacific. The moon looks full for about a night on either side of the peak, so the evening before or after works just as well.

Where the Full Moon Names Come From
The names most used in North America blend Native American, early Colonial and European traditions, popularized by The Old Farmer's Almanac. Each marks what was happening on the land: wolves calling in midwinter, earthworms stirring in thawing March soil, wild strawberries ripening in June. The Harvest Moon is simply the full moon closest to the autumn equinox. Different peoples kept different names, and these are one set among many.
Supermoons and Eclipses This Cycle
A supermoon peaks while the moon sits near its closest point to Earth, so it looks a little larger and brighter. December's Cold Moon is the nearest, about 221,700 miles away. The three 2027 eclipses are all penumbral: the moon passes only through the pale outer edge of Earth's shadow, so expect a faint dimming rather than a deep red.
Stones to Keep Through Every Full Moon
Moonstone is the natural companion for a year of moons. Judy Hall describes it as a mirror of the moon, a reminder that everything moves through cycles of waxing and waning. It is traditionally worked with for lucid dreaming near the full moon and is a trusted stone for Intuition & Clarity.
Selenite is named for Selene, the Greek goddess of the Moon, and is used to cleanse a space and the crystals in it. It dissolves in water, so keep it on a windowsill rather than out in the dew.
Smoky Quartz suits the releasing side of the full moon, helping you let go of what no longer serves you while keeping you grounded.
Clear Quartz holds a chosen intention until you clear it, which makes each full moon a natural moment to clear it and choose again.
