Pine

Collection: Pine

Evergreen through the darkest months, pine is burned in winter to cleanse the house and scattered to turn away what does not belong.

About Pine

Pine, most often a Pinus species, is a resinous evergreen conifer found across the Northern Hemisphere, its needles and resin rich in pinene and related terpenes behind the clean forest scent. Sage Spirits carries it as the Pine Bundle, about 4 inches long, made for smoke cleansing. Scott Cunningham writes that pine needles are burned in winter to purify and cleanse the house and scattered on the floor to drive away evil, while its cones have long been carried as tokens of abundance and vigorous old age.
